Deposits & Payments

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and secure a booking. The deposit covers administration duties associated with the enquiry and booking, as well as purchase and preparation of your order. The deposit also secures a position in our diary and closes this spot off to other bookings.

The balance is required to be paid a minimum of 7 days prior to delivery or collection of your cake. We will send you a reminder 14 days prior to your event.

Cancellations

Once your 50% non refundable deposit is made, your booking is secured. Any cancellations will result in the loss of your deposit, however if you’d like to make an alternate booking, we are more than happy to transfer this deposit to another order within 12 months.

In the rare instance where we are unable to fulfil your order, all efforts will be made to find a suitably qualified decorator. Should another decorator not be available, a full refund of any payments made will be made.

We retain the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as fire or ill health, during which we will refund any money taken in full.

Pickups

We will contact you one week prior to your event to arrange a time with you for pickup. Orders MUST be collected at the nominated time, we cannot be expected to sit around and wait for late collections as we have other deliveries and collections.

Once your order has been collected, all responsibility for the cake is transferred to the customer. We make every effort to ensure the cake is structured safely for travel and we are not liable for any loss or damage caused after collection.

Deliveries

Delivery fees are calculated based on distance travelled from our studio and will be included as an itemised charge on invoice. Following delivery we are not liable for any loss or damage caused.

Changes

It’s ok if you need to change your mind regarding the design of your cake, however any changes to your order must be finalised no later than 14 days prior to delivery or collection.  Please be aware that any changes to the design may incur additional costs.

Complaints

Complaints are rare so when they do occur we take them seriously. Corrections to minor changes when things are wrong can usually be carried out on the same day in most cases and you are required to give us the opportunity to do this.

Allergens

Unfortunately Gluten Free is the only dietary requirement we can currently cater to, however please be aware that although ingredients can be removed from the cakes, they are still used in our kitchen so we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are completely free of them.

Storage

Buttercream cakes, naked cakes and cupcakes can be refrigerated, then removed from the fridge and brought to room temperature prior to serving. However in the cooler months they will be fine left out on the bench. Fondant cakes should NEVER be refrigerated, but instead stored in a cool, dry, dark spot.

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container or glad wrap in the refrigerator. If you’d like to freeze your leftovers we recommend cutting into smaller portions, covering with multiple layers of glad wrap and stored in an airtight container. Many of our flavours have been frozen and kept for the first anniversary, however we recommend freezing our berry flavours for a maximum of 3 months.

Payment of your deposit is considered acceptance of all terms and conditions.
